The Week: Media News - GCap takes over GMG sales

GMG Radio has appointed GCap Media to sell national advertising for its Real, Smooth and Rock Radio brands, after splitting with Global Radio two weeks ago.

GCap will handle sales for the nine stations from 1 January, adding to its existing contract for two of GMG's Century FM stations. The deal means GCap will handle sales for 40 per cent of the total weekly hours on UK commercial radio. GMG will manage national sponsorship and promotions activity for all GMG Radio brands; local sales on the London station Smooth Radio; and regional sales for its Century stations in-house.
