The Week: Media news - ITV reveals new strapline

ITV1 is launching a new strapline, "the brighter side", which will be used across all of its marketing from March.

The new strapline replaces "TV from the heart", which was axed in 2001 by Jim Hytner after he joined the broadcaster as its marketing director. The introduction of the strapline after seven years follows a drop in advertising, cuts in spend for commissioned shows, and redundancies at ITV1.
