The Week: Media News - Magic still reigns in London

Magic has retained the London number-one spot for the third quarter in a row, according to the latest Rajar figures, making it the first station to do so since the heyday of Capital.

The station has a 6.2 per cent share in the capital, the same as Heart, but edged ahead on listening hours. National commercial radio hit an all-time high of 14.2 million listeners, but was down 0.3 percentage points to 43.3 per cent share compared with the BBC, which attracted a 54.5 per cent share of listening.
