The Week: Media news - Male asks clients to spend

Jeremy Male, the chief executive of JCDecaux UK, Northern Europe and Australia, has called on advertisers to increase their adspend on outdoor to reflect the amount of time people spend out of home.

Speaking at last week's Outdoor Advertising Association conference, Male said that people spend 16 per cent of their time out of home and that this figure is growing. Also at the conference, the out-of-home research body Postar said that the new, expanded version of its measurement system will be able to track 20 per cent more travel than it does currently.
