Metro, Associated Newspapers' free daily title, is embarking on a six-month trial scheme to encourage its readers to recycle the newspaper.
Specially designed recycling bins are being introduced at Watford, West Ruislip, Stanmore, Cockfosters, Hainault and High Barnet stations. The bins feature both the Metro and London Underground logos along with the line: "Recycle your newspaper here."
