The Week: Media News - Ofcom reviews radio code

Ofcom is reviewing the broadcast code to give commercial radio stations more opportunities to do content-related sponsorship and promotions. The changes could lead to the stations allowing content-related promotions linked to their programmes, such as blipverts, sponsored competitions and sponsored outside broadcasts. The media watchdog will also consider relaxing rules that prohibit not-for-profit organisations from funding programmes on their work or interests.
