The Week: Media News - Phorm chief attacks critics

Phorm, the online advertising company that tracks web surfers' behaviour, has launched an attack on its critics, labelling them "serial agitators".

Kent Ertugrul, Phorm's chief executive, spearheaded the attack on his blog Stopphoulplay.com, on which he labels his two leading critics, Alexander Hanff and Marcus Williamson, "privacy pirates". Ertugrul also suggested that Hanff had run similar smear campaigns against companies such as Procter & Gamble and that Phorm's rivals could be behind the privacy campaigners.
