RadioCentre, the commercial radio sector's trade body, has alleged that Radio 1's average listener is 33 years old. This is outside of the target age range of 15- to 29-year-olds specified in Radio 1's service licence. The body is calling for the radio station to review its DJ line-up and music policy.
