The Week: Media news - Regionals hit by ABC losses

The Liverpool Daily Post's circulation was hit the hardest of all of the regional daily morning papers in England, according to ABC figures for the second half of 2008.

The newspaper, owned by Trinity Mirror, saw its circulation drop 17.1 per cent, year on year, with an average circulation of 12,910 per issue. The Yorkshire Evening Post, owned by Johnston Press, saw its circulation fall 12 per cent in the same period, year on year, as most regional newspapers suffered a decline in circulation figures.
