The Week: Media News - Times cover price up by 10p

The Times has raised its weekday cover price to 80p, in an attempt by its parent company News International to boost revenues.

The 10p increase means the newspaper will be the same price as its competitors, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Guardian. The Times, which relaunched in full colour in June, is now looking to boost subscriptions with a number of incentives to new subscribers including a loyalty card scheme called Culture+.
