The Week: Media news - Tories would relax ad rules

Regulations surrounding product placement could be relaxed under the Conservatives, a report says.

A Tory government would also give TV channels more control over their airtime and allow more ads. The relaxing of product placement rules would see an increase in revenue for commercial TV with the production company Endemol predicting it would mean an extra £100 million in income.
