The Week: Media news - TV viewing figures on the up

Video catch-up services such as the BBC iPlayer are having little impact on traditional TV viewing, according to a report from Thinkbox.

The TV industry body's half-year review revealed total impacts were up 6 per cent for the first six months of the year, and that UK viewers watched an average of 3.77 hours of broadcast TV a day, 2 per cent more than the five-year average for the period.
