The Week: Media news - Twitter paves way for ads

Twitter has modified its terms and conditions in a move that could pave the way for advertising on the social networking site. The new terms, published by the Twitter founder Biz Stone on his blog, state that Twitter and third parties are able to place advertising in and around Tweets. However, it is still unclear as to what type of advertising the service might attract, after Stone ruled out the possibility of raising revenue through banner ads.
