The Week: Media news - Virgin Media pens ITV deal

Virgin Media has signed a four-year deal with ITV to give its 3.5 million TV subscribers access to the ITV Player on-demand service.

This move follows the collapse of a similar agreement between ITV and BT Vision two months ago. The deal will give Virgin Media TV subscribers access to more than 40 hours of new programming (available seven days after broadcast) and 500 hours of archive shows via its TV Choice service.
