Separately, Virgin Radio is to close one of its three digital stations, Virgin Radio Groove, which plays classic soul, Motown and disco and is aimed at older women. The company has also pulled out of its planned launch of Virgin Radio Viva, which was due to debut on the Channel 4 national digital multiplex platform next year, aimed at 15- to 29-year-old women.
