The Week: Media Reviews - Carat wins Birds Eye media

Carat has picked up the £15 million media planning and buying account for Birds Eye following a three-way pitch against the incumbent, MindShare, and Starcom.

Birds Eye renewed its contract with MindShare in December before changing its mind and calling a review in May.

Martin Glenn, the chief executive of Birds Eye, oversaw the review. Last week, he appointed Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to the brand's creative account following a pitch against the incumbent, Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

Separately, Abbey has signed a new two-year contract retaining Carat on its £28 million media account.
