The Week: Media Reviews - Co-op retains incumbents

The Co-operative Group, which includes the Somerfield supermarket chain, has ended its review of its £32 million media buying arrangements and has decided to keep its current incumbents in place.

Agency sources said that the Co-op, which sent requests for information to media agencies in March, had opted to maintain its existing agency relationships for the foreseeable future after comparing terms received with that from its incumbent agencies. PHD Rocket will retain the Co-op's main account, while Rapp Media is expected to keep hold of the Somerfield business.
