The Week: Online News - O2 group is a Facebook hit

A Facebook group for O2 has attracted more than 69,000 members in just over two weeks, making it one of the most successful branded social networking communities.

The group, created by Agency Republic, is called "The battle for the UK's favourite university", and encourages students to create "noise" for their university by uploading photos and comments. The university with the most contributions at the end of 30 days will win a £50,000 O2-branded party.
