The Week: People news - Army loses marketing chief

Mark Bainbridge, the marketing and communications director of the British Army, has left the role.

He will take a month off before considering his options in September. Since taking the role in May 1999, Bainbridge has implemented a programme to overhaul the Army's public-facing business plan and introduced "camouflage", a campaign that targets possible Army candidates before they leave school at the age of 16.
