The Week: People News - Beattie quits Birds Eye post

Birds Eye's marketing director, Andy Beattie, has left the company without a job to go to after less than a year in the role.

Beattie is believed to have been sidelined by the company's high-profile chief executive and former PepsiCo UK president Martin Glenn, who appointed Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to the brand's advertising account in June. He is also understood to have played little part in a media review earlier this year, which resulted in the business shifting from MindShare to Carat.
