The Week: People news - Clifton to take up MRS role

Rita Clifton, the chairman of Interbrand, has been named as the next president of the Market Research Society.

Clifton will take up the post in April, replacing Jeremy Bullmore, who has now completed his five-year term. Clifton joined Interbrand as its chief executive in 1997, before becoming chairman in 2002. Before that, she had spent more than ten years with Saatchi & Saatchi, working with clients including British Airways, Visa International and Procter & Gamble.
