The Week: People News - Freddie Tarrant, 70, dies

Freddie Tarrant, the co-founder of the UK ad industry's most famous headhunting company, Kendall Tarrant, has died aged 70 after battling cancer for more than two years.

Tarrant and Canna Kendall founded the company in 1976. It went on to become involved in some of the most high-profile agency start-ups over more than two decades. A one-time model and TV producer at Masius before moving into headhunting, Tarrant stepped down from the business in 1992. A memorial service will be held for her on 10 June at 11.30am at St Paul's Church, The Piazza, Covent Garden.
