The Week: People news - Frith resigns to write book

Mark Frith, the editor-in-chief of Heat magazine, is to leave Bauer Consumer Media (formerly Emap) after ten years with the magazine to focus on writing a book.

Julian Linley, the editor of Heatworld.com, and a former deputy editor of Heat, will become the acting editor until a permanent replacement is found. Bauer has also promoted Geoff Campbell, the acting managing director of its mobile phone division, to managing director of its men's lifestyle division, which publishes FHM, Zoo and Arena. Last week, the deputy managing director of men's brands, Nial Ferguson, left to join Future, and Dharmash Mistry, the head of digital operations, also announced his departure.
