The Week: People news - Newbery takes Times role

The Sunday Times has appointed Charlie Newbery, a planning manager at Universal McCann, as its marketing manager.

Newbery will join on 3 March in the newly created role, and is expected to shift the paper's focus away from promotional activity and towards digital activity and customer relationship management. His role has been created as part of a restructure that will also see 15 marketing staff axed.
