The Week: People News - O2 divides marketing role

The mobile operator O2 is splitting its marketing director role between Peter Rampling, the head of consumer marketing, and Alistair Johnston, the head of pre-pay marketing.

The temporary changes will be in effect while its current marketing director, Sally Cowdry, goes on maternity leave. Rampling's role will encompass consumer postpay, broadband, SME, new product development and own-branded devices. Johnston's will cover prepay, brand, CRM, products and strategy.
