The Week: People news - Staff ready to sue Lebedev

Staff on the scrapped Russian version of Dazed & Confused are suing the London Evening Standard owner, Alexander Lebedev, for failing to pay their wages.

Lebedev bought the rights to the UK magazine in 2007 and, in October last year, put a team together to launch it. However, in February, he ran into money problems and was forced to delay payment to staff - who claim that Lebedev behaved like a "bandit" and a "90s oligarch".
