The Week: People News - Wheatly made Jazz FM chair

Richard Wheatly is to step down from his role as the executive chairman of The Local Radio Company in order to take on a similar role at its subsidiary station Jazz FM.

Wheatly will now take on the position of non-executive director at TLRC, but his focus will shift to Jazz FM, which relaunched on 6 October. Anthony Gumbiner, a non-executive director of TLRC, moves to the new role of non-executive chairman of the company, while Alistair MacKenzine, TLRC's finance director, now becomes the chief operating officer.
