The Week: Pinder takes full responsibility at Publicis Worldwide

Richard Pinder, the chief operating officer of Publicis Worldwide, has taken full responsibility for the network.

The move is part of a reshuffle that sees Olivier Fleurot, the Publicis Worldwide executive chairman, relinquish the role and become the chief executive of Publicis' marketing communications group, which includes businesses such as MS&L and Freud.

Reporting directly to Maurice Levy, the chairman and chief executive of Publicis Groupe, Pinder, who formerly ran Publicis Worldwide alongside Fleurot, will now take sole charge of the network, which includes agencies such as Publicis, Publicis Dialog and Publicis Modem.

Pinder said: "In the role, I will continue to push our three-pronged strategy of building Publicis Modem globally, driving creative and making sure the network is as fit as it can be. However, as the grip of the financial crisis gets tighter, we'll need to do all of these things much faster."
