The Week: Twinings splits creative account between three agencies

Twinings has ended its five-month-long advertising review by splitting its account between the final three pitching agencies.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO will handle the company's speciality teas range, while WCRS will take on the duties for Options and Ovaltine.

Separately, Adam & Eve will work on the launch of the company's Everyday Tea - a competitor to brands such as PG Tips and Yorkshire Tea.

The account, which was previously handled by Lowe London, came up for review in May. The agency, which picked up the business in 2005, declined to re-pitch. The process was overseen by Claire Hodge, the marketing director at Twinings.

She said: "Our review has been an exciting and collaborative process and all agencies will bring something very valuable to the table. We're very much looking forward to working with each in developing strategic and creative work in what will be a new era for the Twinings brand."
