Mastercard Olivier Awards pop-up

To celebrate the 2015 Olivier Awards with MasterCard taking place on 12 April, a pop-up space near the entrance to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden will host a week-long programme of free activities, workshops and exhibitions.

Events include a storytelling workshop with children’s author Jacqueline Wilson, professional stage make-up demonstrations and masterclasses, a comedy improvisation workshop with the writers and stars of The Play That Goes Wrong and a talk from theatre photographer Matt Humphrey.

Theatre lovers will be able to enjoy a special display of Olivier-nominated costumes from designers Robert Jones and Paul Tazewell and a gallery of behind-the-scenes photography taken at previous star-studded award ceremonies. Members of the public will have the chance to be photographed on the pop-up’s red carpet alongside an Olivier Award statue.

Discounted theatre tickets will also be on sale via the TKTS booth and Theatre Tokens, as well as limited edition Olivier Awards merchandise.
