Carat won the COI TV business from Starcom Mediavest in April (Campaign, 15 April). West, 46, worked on the account at MediaVest for more than 13 years. He is therefore seen as pivotal to the business and moves with the account.
As well as becoming the board director in charge of the COI business with responsibility for managing the COI television buying department, West will also take charge of Carat's interactive television department. Keith Rattray, who left the agency earlier this year, previously filled this role.
