Western Union, an official sponsor of International Women's Day 2017, is running a campaign by Mcgarrybowen that spotlights the role of education in helping girls reach their goals.
The spot shows girls around the world racing, while a voiceover says, "the race is on" to achieve milestones such as becoming the first female to run the United Nations or the first woman on the moon. The brand is promoting moving money to support girls’ education and has launched the WU Scholars Program, a global scholarship for students in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business and entrepreneurship.
The global campaign will run across digital, social media and video on demand platforms. Holly Fallows and Charlotte Watmough created the ad at Mcgarrybowen, and MJ Delaney was the director through Moxie Pictures.
