Real Media UK, the online advertising network, has appointed Brian White to head up its newly-formed media services department as media services director.
White joins from Internet Digital Media, where he was responsible for all aspects of client services and new business development.
An American, White arrived in the UK in 1998 and has also worked for FT.com. He began his career in the US promoting the use of the net with the California Bankers' Association, moving onto New Media magazine as marketing communications manager.
White will be responsible for consultancy services, providing strategic advice to web publishers to help them develop and maintain commercially viable sites which attract advertisers.
White will also be responsible for beyond-the-banner advertising, including e-commerce, rich media and sponsorship; business development pertaining to site representation; and web publisher data mining/integration issues.
