Whyte & Mackay taps Nick Garland as global marketing director

LONDON - Spirits brand Whyte & Mackay has hired Nick Garland to the role of global sales and marketing director.

Garland moves to the post from Beam Global where he was vice-president of global marketing. His previous drinks industry experience includes stints at Diageo and Allied Domecq in various marketing and sales positions.

Garland will now be tasked with the development of the distiller's global portfolio of brands which, as well as Whyte & Mackay whisky, includes Vladivar vodka.

His arrival follows the development of a new global marketing team developed over the past year, with the specific objective of growing Whyte & Mackay's international business from its headquarters in Glasgow.
