A number of agencies have already been in discussions with the company regarding the account, and pitches are due to take place later this month.
The successful agency will be responsible for handling digital and direct marketing activity for the brand, focusing predominantly on promoting and improving Wickes' My Wickes Card loyalty programme. The activity is currently handled in-house.
MWO is the incumbent on Wickes' advertising business. Earlier this month, the agency launched a series of TV ads that promoted the variety of products on offer in the retailer's catalogue.
The campaign continues to use Wickes' long-running advertising strapline: "It's got our name on it."
MWO has worked with Wickes on its ad account since January 2008. Its relationship with the retailer is unaffected by the CRM pitch.
