Winner annnounced in BBC student media contest

LONDON - BBC Motion Gallery has announced the winner of its student media competition.

The contest was held among London Metropolitan University media students.

The winner was Sanya Mihaylovic from the MA Audio Visual Production course with her entry entitled ‘Spring'.

Roydon Turner, creative director at JWT, one of the judges, said: "Sanya is a promising talent, her entry was well edited, told a story and had a good pay off - an essential part of any advertising campaign."

Entrants were given just over six weeks to create a 90 second to three minute short film using content from the 20,000 clips on the BBC/JISC site.

The entrants were tasked with creating a short film to represent Great Britain to the Olympic athletes planning to come to the UK for the 2012 Olympics.
