Claydon Heeley Jones Mason is strengthening its creative department with the appointment of a senior creative team from TBWA/London.
Dave Woods, a writer, and Peter Harle, art director, join the agency as creative directors. The two, who have been at TBWA since its merger with Holmes Knight Ritchie in 1990, will report to Rob Scott, the executive creative director of Claydon Heeley Jones Mason. They will help him manage the agency's 13 creative teams.
Scott said: 'This is exactly the right move for them. If we don't get creative awards after this year, there will be no excuses.'
At TBWA, Woods and Harle have worked for clients including Equitable Life, the Labour Party, NatWest and Sony PlayStation.
Harle said: 'We've been at one of the best agencies in town but Claydon Heeley Jones Mason is the sort of place where things are really going to happen.'
Trevor Beattie, the creative director at TBWA, said: 'I'm pleased and excited for them. The days of the standard 30-second TV ad are dead. It's good for them to go into that new area from here rather than the other way around.'
The changes coincide with the departure of Edward Mason, the agency's joint chief executive and founding director, following the completion of the management team's earn-out after its acquisition by Omnicom.
