Work Club scoops Paddy Power brief

Paddy Power has appointed Work Club to its advertising account for its online bingo and games products after a pitch.

The appointment marks the first time an ad agency has worked on the account.

Work Club will create Paddy Power's first above-the-line bingo activity for two years and a debut advertising campaign for its games products. The new TV ads for bingo and games will air later this month.

The move does not affect the £1 million ad account for the Paddy Power chain of betting shops, which is handled by Big Al's Creative Emporium.

Paddy Power's marketing director, Barni Evans, said: "We appointed Work Club on its strong strategic insight and two highly campaignable routes."

Last month, the Advertising Standards Authority launched an investigation into a Paddy Power ad by Big Al's Creative Emporium that featured a team of blind footballers, after it received 400 complaints.
