The World: Akron - Goodyear calls account reviews after just one year

The US tyre manufacturer Goodyear has put its $66 million creative and media accounts up for pitch. The review comes a year after awarding the advertising duties to Arnold Worldwide and the media buying and planning to Media Planning Group.

Goodyear moved its creative account from Goodby Silverstein & Partners to Arnold Worldwide in May 2004 without a review. Later in the year, it moved its media business to MPG from PHD USA.

A spokesman said Goodyear was conducting an internal review of every element of its marketing and was not in a position to discuss what steps would be taken as a result of the process.
