EuroNews has signed a deal with the Bahrain-based digital satellite platform Orbit, to broadcast the channel in 25 countries across the Middle East and North Africa.

Orbit will carry the channel exclusively in 12 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait, and through joint ventures with other satellite platforms in 13 countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Cyprus.

Philippe Cayla (pictured), the chairman and chief executive of EuroNews, said: "I'm pleased to have concluded an agreement with Orbit, and that EuroNews will now be part of the best of Arabic and Western programming."
