The World: Atlanta - Wieden & Kennedy wins Delta global ad business

Delta Airlines has handed Wieden & Kennedy its global advertising account, following a pitch against BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather and Deutsch.

The agency will work with Delta to create a long-term global advertising and brand campaign, which will be revealed in early 2010.

W&K will lead the work on the account from its New York offices, with regional support from its Portland, Amsterdam and Tokyo shops.

Dan Wieden, the W&K president and chief executive, said: "Throughout the pitch process we found ourselves continually impressed by Delta's spirit and determination."
