The World: Austin - BMW hands GSD&M $80m creative business

BMW in North America has awarded its $80 million creative account to GSD&M in Austin, Texas.

The agency beat Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners in a final two-way shoot-out after The Martin Agency and the New York-based Anomaly were knocked out.

Fallon Minneapolis, the incumbent agency, declined to defend the account.

Jack Pitney, BMW's marketing chief, said the company may increase its adspend to $150 million.
