The World: Bangalore - Dentsu signs joint venture with Connecturf India

Dentsu, the Japanese communications giant, is making further inroads into India's fast-growing internet ad market via a joint venture with the Bangalore-based specialist Connecturf India.

They are to establish a joint venture to be called Clickstreamers India that will be based in Mumbai.

Dentsu said the move was intended to bolster the competitiveness of its internet offering in India and to increase its bargaining strength.

In September 2007, there were an estimated 46 million internet users in India, a increase of almost 43 per cent on the corresponding period one year earlier.
