The World: Bangkok - Chief executive of BBDO Bangkok to retire

Decha Tangpanitansook, the chief executive of BBDO Bangkok, has announced he is to retire in December after a 29-year career in advertising.

The chief executive role will remain vacant, but Songkran Sethesompode will assume Tangpanitansook's duties. However, he will only carry the job title of managing director.

Sethesompode will report to Chris Thomas, the chairman and chief executive of BBDO Asia, and he will work alongside Suthisak Sucharittanonta, the chief creative officer, and Andres Ruktasiri, the chief operating officer.

Tangpanitansook said: "Songkran brings leadership skills, client experience and senior management expertise to our businesses, and his appointment marks a step change in our capabilities."
