The World: Bangkok - Coca-Cola removes brands from Ogilvy Thailand

Coca-Cola has ended its relationship with Ogilvy in Thailand after discovering that the WPP agency had been working for its arch-rival, Pepsi.

Coke Classic has been removed from Ogilvy along with Coke Zero, the low-calorie drink that the agency launched in Thailand earlier this year.

Coca-Cola is understood to be in discussion with another of its roster agencies, McCann Erickson, about the brands withdrawn from Ogilvy.

Meanwhile, the Tourism Authority of Thailand has awarded its $1.3 million domestic account to Leo Burnett after a final pitch involving Saatchi & Saatchi and Far East DDB.
