The World: Bangkok - JWT set to take over $6m Thai McDonald's account

JWT is set to take over the $6 million McDonald's account in Thailand.

Sources say the agency has been given the nod following a pitch that included Fareast DDB, Spa Advertising and the incumbent, Leo Burnett. Neither the agency nor the client would comment on the appointment, however.

The review was called in the wake of an ownership change at McThai Co, the McDonald's Thai operating unit. The McDonald's franchise was acquired in October last year by the local businessmen Vicha Poolvaraluck and Hester Chew.
