The World: Batavia - Airborne settles case over false remedy advertising

Airborne, the herbal remedy marketer, has agreed to pay up to $6.5 million after being accused of false advertising.

The sum will be added to a $23.5 million compensations pool, which the company agreed to pay earlier this year to settle a class-action lawsuit.

Airborne is accused of making false and unsubstantiated cold-prevention, germ-fighting and efficacy claims. However, in a statement, the brand denied wrongdoing or illegal conduct.
