The World: Beijing - TBWA's Chinese planning ops gets new head

TBWA has put Jeremy Sy in charge of planning for its China operations as part of its efforts to provide better support for clients working in the country's rapidly changing marketing environment.

Sy, currently the planning director of TBWA's Beijing office, will remain there, but oversee Shanghai, too.

Before joining TBWA in Beijing in August 2005, Sy was the associate planning director at JWT Shanghai. He has worked in London, Manila and Dallas.

Gavin Heron, the TBWA\Group\China chief executive, said: "Sy understands Chinese consumers and culture, and he has a great grasp of where we want to take the group in the future."
