The World: Beijing - Zenith Media retains China Mobile task after pitch

Zenith Media has retained the China Mobile media account following a pitch against Mindshare, Carat and Universal McCann.

The mobile phone operator is one of the biggest-spending advertisers in China, and is expected to spend more than $100 million in 2009.

Malcolm Hanlon, the chief executive of Zenith Media China, said: "The media agency competition is so tough in China but to be reappointed by China Mobile is a clear demonstration of Zenith's market leadership. We look forward to providing China Mobile with the very best of our capabilities."
