The World: Berlin - Von Laffert takes on Conde Nast presidency role

Moritz Von Laffert has been appointed as the new president of Conde Nast Germany.

Von Laffert joins the publishing house from Axel Springer and will be in charge of all of Conde Nast's German magazines, including Vogue, Glamour, AD and GQ, as well as the company's websites and new media activities.

He will take on the role at the beginning of October and will report to Jonathan Newhouse, the chairman of Conde Nast International.

Newhouse said: "Moritz has the capacity to lead Conde Nast to new levels of excellence and success."
